Oregon Supreme Court to hear Elvia Garcia-Solis v. Farmers Insurance
The Oregon Supreme Court will hear the case of Elvia Garcia-Solis v. Farmers Insurance Co. at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17.
Garcia-Solis petitioned Oregon Supreme Court to review "whether 'compensable injury' in ORS 656.245 is defined by the conditions listed by the insurer in the notice of acceptance" and "whether diagnostic medical services are available to determine the full scope of the compensable injury that requires medical services or results in disability," according to the court.
The original case revolved around a workers’ compensation case involving the question of whether diagnostic medical services are compensable.
