Georgia Supreme Court hears Mondy vs. Magnolia Advanced Materials
The Georgia Supreme Court heard the case of Mondy et al. vs. Magnolia Advanced Materials Inc. on Feb. 12.
Michael O. Mondy, an attorney, appealed a Georgia Court of Appeals decision affirming a DeKalb County Superior Court ruling that held him in contempt of court. Mondy argued that the trial court erred in finding him in contempt and in issuing the contempt order after he filed the motion for recusal.
The original case revolved around Magnolia terminating an employee represented by Mondy, then suing him for breach of his employment agreement and violation of the Georgia Trade Secrets Act.
