Campaign for Accountability vs. Consumer Credit Research Foundation to be heard Feb. 5
The Georgia Supreme Court will hear the case of Campaign for Accountability vs. Consumer Credit Research Foundation at 10 a.m. on Feb. 5.
The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia is appealing a Georgia Court of Appeals decision prohibiting the board from providing information to a private organization. Attorneys for the Campaign for Accountability argue that the fact that an agency may withhold records listed as exceptions under the Georgia Open Records Act does not mean that the exceptions prohibit or forbid their disclosure.
The original case revolved around seeking declaratory and injunctive relief to prevent the release of correspondences under the Georgia Open Records Act.
