New Cingular Wireless vs. Georgia Department of Revenue to be heard Jan. 23
The Georgia Supreme Court will hear the case of New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC et al. vs. Georgia Department of Revenue, et al. at 10 a.m. on Jan. 23.
Four cellular and wireless data providers are appealing a Georgia Court of Appeals ruling that upholds a DeKalb County court’s dismissal of their lawsuit seeking a refund of millions of dollars in sales taxes for their customers.
The original case revolved around AT&T's request for a refund from the Georgia Department of Revenue for sales tax AT&T claimed had been erroneously charged to its Georgia customers on the purchase of wireless Internet access service.
