Wyoming Supreme Court to hear case about fee disputes
The Wyoming Supreme Court will hear the case of Gabrielle Manigault vs. Daly & Sorenson LLC at 9 a.m. on Dec. 13.
Manigault argues the district court erred in affirming the Committee for Resolution of Fee Disputes' awarding of attorneys' fees when it failed to reduce the appellant's bill for Daly & Sorenson's unreasonable and abusive use of minimum increment billing or block billing, in violation of Wyoming rule of professional conduct.
The original case stems from a hearing before the Committee for Resolution of Fee Disputes, and the subsequent orders issued by the committee and the district court regarding attorneys’ fees and costs assessed by appellee for its representation of appellant.
